Eligibility Criteria for Driving Licenses
Learner’s License (LL):
- Age:
- 8 years for a motorcycle without gear (up to 50cc) unlike paid driver.
- Motorcycle with gear and Light Motor Vehicle (LMV), 18 years
- 15 years for goods carriage vehicle and 20 years for commercial vehicle.
- Skill: Knowledge about traffic rules and signs.
Permanent Driving License (DL):
- Valid Learner’s License held for a minimum of 30 days and no more than 180 days
- Holder must be competent to operate the category of vehicle for which they have applied.
- Are required to pass the driving skill test.
- Commercial DL or of 40 years = Valid medical certificate (Form 1A)
